“Radhika Mohan Maitra (b. 1917) was a world-famous Sarod player. He was also a fine Dhrupadiya and a highly learned person. He studied under Muhammad Amir Khan (Gwalior) and Dabir Khan (Senee). He performed regularly on radio, television and in music conferences in India and abroad, and made several disc recordings, both solo and duet. Noted among his disciples were…Buddhadeb Dasgupta… He passed away in October 1981.”
