About Krishnarao Shankar Pandit

From Vilayat Hussain Khan’s Sangeetagyon ke Samsmaran (1956, Sangeet Natak Akademi) there is the following entry (translation mine):

Krishnarao Shankar Pandit‘s name occupies an important place in the gharana (Gwalior) of Haddu Khan. His father, Shankarrao Pandit, was a disciple of Haddu Khan and vocalist of a very high calibre. Shankarrao trained his son very well as a result of which today Krishnarao is considered to be among the most distinguished musicians of our time… …Krishnarao served in the court of Madhavrao Scindia and ran a school of his own in Gwalior. His uncle, Eknath Pandit was a vidwAn in music. Krishnarao is currently training his son. Several others have received tAleem from Krishnarao and have gone on to become taiyyAr musicians.

There are two ‘biographies’ of Krishnarao Shankar Pandit, one by Smt. M. Chary and the other by Smt. Neela Bhagwat.
